Anke Diehl became the first Digital Change Manager for the University Medicine Essen in March 2018. Her longstanding working experience started in 1995 as a medical doctor in the clinical departments of Neurology, Neuroradiology, Radiology and Psychiatry.
From 2003 she built up an international study centre at the University Hospital Essen specializing in adjudication of neurological and neuroradiological studies, which she successfully ran until end of 2009. Before returning to Essen in 2018, she ran the department for health care services research in North-Rhine Westphalia based at an institution belonging to the local Ministry of Health (LZG.NRW).
Anke Diehl furthermore holds a degree in management of health care organizations and was appointed to become a member of the ethics committee of the University Hospital Essen due to her vast expertise in clinical trials.
